Verna McKinney Elliott, 94, of Waldo died Monday, May 15, 2017, in Waldo.
She was born April 2, 1923, to Ethel and Rosie Lee Coffeman McKinney.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Roy Elliott; two daughters, Emma Jean Elliott and Norma Jean Miles; one sister, Vera Craven; three brothers, Ranson, Ezra, and Jimmy McKinney; and one grandson.
She is survived by two daughters, Noble Jean Robinson of Magnolia and Deleasha Ismail of Antioch, Calif.; four brothers, Bernice, Isaac, Tommy, and Felton McKinney; one sister, Mattie Moss; seven grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, 13 great-great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Funeral services will be Saturday, May 27, at 2 p.m. at Kendrick Chapel Baptist Church in Waldo with Reubin Radford officiating. Interment will follow at Kendrick Chapel Cemetery in Waldo. Services are under the direction of Marks Funeral Home in Magnolia.
Visitation with the family will be 11:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
