TUESDAY - May 30

Greer’s Chapel United Methodist Church will host a Laundry Love Event 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Main Street Laundry, 1109 E. Main in Magnolia. Coins and laundry detergent will be provided for up to 3 normal loads per family. Come by to do your laundry for FREE.

WEDNESDAY - May 31

Unity Church Magnolia will host a community event 6-8 p.m. at East Side Park, including inflatables, snow cones, food, prizes, games, rock climbing wall, and more. Everything is free and everyone is welcome.

SATURDAY - June 3

Logoly State Park will hold the Annual Kid’s Fishing Derby beginning at 7:30 a.m. and ending around noon. The derby is limited to 50 contestants. The derby is free but registration is a MUST. The derby is open to children ages 5-15. Contact Logoly State Park at 870-695-3561 to register or for more information.

The McNeil Community Yard Sale will be held in downtown McNeil 8 a.m.-2 p.m. today. Vendor spaces are available for home based businesses, yard sale items, animals, antiques, arts and crafts, plants, etc. Spaces are 10x10 and $10 each. The Piney Needles Quilt Guild is having a quilt show in Springhill, La., in the South Main Mall from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. Admission is FREE.

SATURDAY - June 10

The Magnolia Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. is accepting applications for the 2017-2018 school year for students attending Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia. The scholarship pays full tuition and is available for sophomores, juniors and seniors. Applications may be obtained from SAU Financial Aid Office, Overstreet Hall, Room 300, Magnolia, Ark. 71753. FRIDAY - June 16

Juneteenth Festival Gospel Fest will begin immediately following parade festivities at 7 p.m. B.Y.O.C. (Bring Your Own Chair). Several local choirs and groups will perform.

Juneteenth Festival’s Family & Friends Day will be held from 12 noon-8 p.m. Activities to include Rib Cook-Off Competition, Domino Tournament, Softball Game, Talent Showcase, Cake Walk, Kiddie Land, Food/Craft vendors, and countless other family friendly activities.
