Michael Edwin Looney Sr., 52, of Texarkana, Ark., passed away Monday, May 22, 2017, at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock.
Michael was born on June 10, 1964, in Camden. He was the manager of Mid-South Equipment, employed at Michael Looney Logging, and could fix anything he touched.
Michael was preceded in death by his father Charles Edwin Looney. He is survived by his mother, Pauline Harbison Looney of Texarkana, Ark.; five children, Tiffany Purvis and husband Mick of Fouke, Doc Looney and wife Jacqueline of Bradley, LeAnne Bruce and husband Robert of Texarkana, Ark., Kayla Looney and Dylan Brackman of Bradley, and Joseph Looney of Texarkana, Ark.; six grandchildren, Justin Purvis, Hannah Purvis, Austin Purvis, Preston Looney, Kye BoBo, and Macey Hoover; and brother Clay Stone of Texarkana, Texas.
Visitation will be Thursday, May 25, 1-2 p.m. at the Lewis Chapel with funeral services following at 2 p.m. with Bro. Carlie Warren officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home Inc. of Magnolia.
