FRANCILLE BRIDWELL

Francille Waller Bridwell, 88, of Stoney Creek, Va., formerly of Emerson, gladly went to be with the Lord, who must have needed a special helper, on Sunday, March 19, 2017, while she was sleeping. Francille was born Oct. 26, 1928, in Emerson.

She was an adored daughter, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, cousin, and friend. Her smile and love was contagious and her food was delicious. She was loved by all with whom she came in contact with. She will be missed, and no one will be ever able to fill her shoes. She enjoyed birds, flowers, puzzles, fishing, and was a domino queen.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Guy and Levie (Olds) Waller; husband, Lloyd “Bruce” Bridwell; brothers, Travis Waller, Donnie Joe Waller, and Winston Waller; and sister, Mildred Cooper.

Francille is survived by her son, James D. Bridwell of Orlando, Fla.; daughter, Janette Spiers of Stoney Creek; sister, Carolyn Dodson of Texarkana, Texas; grandchildren, James Jr., Jamie, Jerry, Justin, Josh, Jody, and Fulton Bridwell, Jeremy, Brian and Frankie Spiers III; great-grandchildren Ashley, James, III, Kason, Collin, Addison, Graceson, Elenor, and Laura Bridwell, Cassidy and Noah Spiers.

Visitation with the family will be from 6-8 p.m. Saturday, March 25, at Lewis Funeral Home in Magnolia.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 26, at Brister Baptist Church with Dr. Eric Goble officiating. Burial will follow at Emerson Presbyterian Cemetery under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., of Magnolia.

We will love and miss her more than words can express … your family and friends.
