EUNICE MURPHY

Eunice Marie Murphy, 67, of McNeil died Saturday, March 18, 2017, at her home. She was born Nov. 5, 1949, in Wrens, Ga., to Willie James Nelson and Eunice Stone.

She was a retired substitute teacher and Certified Nursing Assistant.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, King David England, James Smith, and John David Ingram.

She is survived by her husband, Luther Murphy; three sons, Luther R. Murphy Jr. of Lake Jackson, Texas, Mark Hall Sr. of Hartshorne, Okla., and Pernell Roberts of Georgia; one daughter, Felicia K. Walker of Waldo; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and twelve siblings, Lillie Johnson, Annie King, and Roosevelt Stone of Bronx, N.Y., Frank Wiggins, Lula Mae Nelson Woods, Martha Olivant, Antee Robinson, Betty Mae Nelson Upton, Doug Nelson, and Commet Jordan, all of Wrens, Ga., Cathy Lennon of Texarkana, Texas, and Mary Hatchett of Florida.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 25, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in McNeil with Franklin Jackson officiating. Burial will be at Pine Hill Cemetery in Emerson, under the direction of Henderson’s Mortuary Inc., in Magnolia.

Visitation will be 12 noon-4 p.m. Friday, March 24, at the funeral home.
