A group from Mount Vernon Church went to San Antonio last week. While there, they went to Sea World and Aquatica. Some went to the Alamo. Those going on the trip were: Cindy Dixon and grandson, Dixon; Chuck and Michelle Hanson; Haley Hanson and Zane Taylor; Ernie Hanson, Landen, Carter and Presley; Robin Wilkerson, Jaylee and Kynlee and Sharon Hanson.
Erma Aldridge celebrated her 97th birthday on Monday, July 17. The Mount Vernon Church family honored her during the Sunday morning Service. She was presented flowers by the Church. She is the oldest member of Mount Vernon Church.
Please remember my sister-in-law, Imojean Morehead in your prayers. She fell and broke her hip and had surgery on Tuesday. She will be in the hospital in Tyler, Texas, for a few days and then will be transferred to rehab for therapy. She is blind and this will make her rehab a little more difficult.
