Johnny Lee Johnson, 80, formerly of Bradley, died July 13, 2017, at Carrington Place in Springhill, La. He was born June 22, 1937, to the late Rev. George Johnson and Johnnie Mae Anderson Johnson in Columbus, Ga.
He was a deacon at New St. Paul Baptist Church and a member at Greater Mount Olive Church in Bradley. He loved driving charter buses for Dart Transit in Dallas, Texas, and Adventures Express Company.
He is survived by his wife, Mattie Lee Johnson of Dallas; sons, Tyrone (Latrish) Stevenson, A.B. (Bobbie) Stevenson of Dallas; daughter Opal (Gary) Cheathom of Bradley; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, other relatives, and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 22, at Greater Mount Olive Church in Bradley with Pastor Sylvester Tatum officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home in Stamps.
Visitation will be Friday, July 21, 11 a.m.-4:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
