Adell Wilson Newman, 83, of Magnolia, passed away Sunday, Sept. 18, 2016, at Christus St. Michael Health System in Texarkana, Texas. She was born July 31, 1933 in the Spotsville community in Columbia County to the late Ernest Seaborn Pyle and Lucille (Ferguson) Pyle.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her husbands, Joseph Elsworth Wilson and Harold Lloyd Newman.
Adell is survived by her two sons, James Wilson and Karen and Walter Wilson and wife Lynda of Magnolia; daughter-in-law, Theresa Wilson of Magnolia; three grandchildren, Sally Wilson and Shane of El Dorado, Brandy Haynes and husband Charles of Texarkana, Texas, and Mandy McKay and husband Cole of Magnolia; seven great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild on the way; three brothers, David Pyle and wife Ester of Magnolia, Jerry Pyle and wife Diana of Hamies, Alaska, and Ernest Pyle Jr. and Donna of of Houston, Texas; two sisters, Maxine Porterfield of Magnolia and Carolyn Fannin and husband Charles of San Antonio, Texas; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 20 at Lewis Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Michael Daniel officiating. Burial will follow at Ebenezer Cemetery, under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. in Magnolia.
Visitation with the family will be from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Shane Tucker, Charles Haynes, Russell Thomas, Ricky Wilson, Cotton Staton, and Billy Cheatham.
