Mulerider Club to host dinner

Fundraising event for SAU athletics

The Southern Arkansas University athletic department has announced the Mulerider Club will host its second dinner event of the year on Monday, November 7 at 6 p.m. in Grand Hall of the Donald W. Reynolds Center on the campus of SAU.

This event, which is sponsored by the Mulerider Club, will feature a meet-and-greet session with various members of the SAU athletic department and Mulerider Club Advisory Board members as well as a sit-down supper catered by Aramark.

The evening’s meal will consist of grilled chicken with cream sauce, garlic roasted potatoes, southern style green beans, salad and dessert.

“We are excited for our second Mulerider Club dinner event of the year,” stated SAU Director of Athletics Steve Browning. “The growth of this organization over the last few years has been tremendous, and we always look forward to these opportunities to come together in fellowship and hear about where Mulerider Athletics is and where we are going!”

Shortly after the meal, those in attendance will have the chance to hear from our basketball head coaches in advance of their season as men’s basketball coach Andy Sharpe, and women’s basketball coach Julio Pacheco will speak on behalf of their programs.

The cost of the event is $15 per person and tickets can only be purchased in advance.

The Mulerider Club is the fundraising arm of the SAU athletic department, and its members help contribute to the current and future success of Mulerider Athletics through their private investments and participation at athletic events.

Through the contributions of its members, the Mulerider Club services the SAU athletic department by helping to provide funding for athletic scholarships, athletic facility enhancements, and helping SAU athletics achieve its overall mission of assisting student-athletes as they succeed on and off the playing field or court.
