FRIDAY - Oct. 21

Sis. Kumesha Ward will host a revival at the SAU campus in the foundation hall at 7 p.m. Guest speaker will be Pastor Sindy Young of Meridian Mississippi. The public is cordially invited.

SATURDAY - Oct. 22

The Watts-Davidson Cemetery Committee meeting scheduled for today has been cancelled.

New Zion Missionary Baptist Church Mission Ministry will host a Breast Cancer Awareness Luncheon at 11 a.m. at New Zion Baptist Church. Guest speakers will be nurse practitioner, Michele Hamilton-Rhodes; and Bonnie Zorch from the Magnolia Cancer Center. Also, there will be blood pressure and blood sugar screenings.

There will be a quartet musical program at 6 p.m. at Unity AME Church.

SUNDAY - Oct. 23

Free Union Missionary Baptist Church will hold its Annual Mission Day at 2:30 p.m. Theme is “Women on the move for God.” Guest speaker will be Sis. Christie Williams of Texarkana.

Mercy and Grace Missionary Baptist Church will hold its Auxiliary Day at 2:30 p.m. Guest will be Rev. M.A. Turner and Cedar Grove Missionary Baptist Church of Lewisville.

Mt. Superior Baptist Church will celebrate its Harvest Day and Family & Friends Day beginning with lunch served on the church grounds at 1 p.m.-2:45 p.m. The evening program will begin at 3 p.m. with a skit reflecting life in the older days. Also, there will be family talent. The public is cordially invited to come fellowship with us.

Greers Chapel United Methodist Church will hold their “Laundry Love” event from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Main Street Laundry, 1109 E. Main St. in Magnolia. Coins and laundry detergent will be provided, for a limit of three normal loads per family.

Unified mission will be at 7 p.m. at New Zion Baptist Church. Guest speaker will be Sis. Cathy Sanders. Everyone is invited.

The annual Fall Festival will be held at Mount Vernon Church. The festivities will start at 5 p.m. All of the favorite games will be held such as turkey shoot, cake walk and the hayride. Everyone is invited to come and join in the fun.

SATURDAY - Nov. 5

Southern Christian Mission and Philadelphia, Unity, and Harmony United Methodist Churches will co-sponsor a fish fry from 4:30-7:30 p.m. to benefit Southern Christian Mission. The benefit will be held at Southern Christian Mission, 515 W. Monroe St. in Magnolia. Dine-in and drive-through meals will be available. The menu will include fried catfish, potato logs, coleslaw, hush puppies, dessert, and a drink. The cost of the fish fry is a $10 donation, and tickets can be purchased at Southern Christian Mission, Jennifer’s on the Square, and lobbies of all Magnolia bank locations, or at the door.
