Each month at Central Elementary School, teachers choose a “Student of the Month” from their homeroom. Central invites a different local community leader to a luncheon for these students. The guests share their role and responsibilities in the community and explain to students the future benefits of getting a good education. The guest speaker for the month of April was Ruthie Sharp, the Director of Southern Christian Missions.
