SATURDAY - Feb. 6

Philadelphia United Methodist Church will have an “All-U-Eat Fish Fry” from 4:30-7:30 p.m. in the church’s fellowship hall. Adults $12, children 12 and under $5. Meals include fish with all the trimmings, dessert, and a drink. Everyone is welcome. Take-outs available.

SUNDAY - Feb. 7

A Black History Program sponsored by Columbia District Choir will be at 6 p.m. at the Columbia District Auditorium. Guest speaker will be Bishop Chester Thompson, pastor of Zion Baptist Church in Camden. Guest choir will be Genesis Gospel Choir. Everyone is invited.

Bro. Jeff Spring will speak at Magnolia Christian Center at 10:30 a.m.

SUNDAY - Feb. 14

St. James A.M.E. Church will have its “Annual Black History Program” at 2:30 p.m. Guest speaker will be Rev. Gloria Young of New Bethel A.M.E. Guest choir will be the community choir of Rosston. Everyone is invited to attend.

SUNDAY - Feb. 28

St. John, No.2, Baptist Church of Waldo will have its Black History Program at 2:30 p.m. Guest will be Sis. Kizmet Davis and the Greater Harvest COGIC of Magnolia. Everyone is invited.

The 12th Annual African-American History Celebration of Youth: Remembering Our Heritage is set for 2:30 p.m. in the Grand Hall of the Donald W. Reynolds Center on the SAU campus. At least 25 area high school seniors have already agreed to speak briefly on what black history means to them. Others still interested in participating should contact Bethlehem Youth Director Chris Gilliam as soon as possible. There will be other youth talent and a special young adult speaker from SAU. The event is sponsored by Bethlehem Baptist Church Youth Department, SAU Office of Multicultural Services, Albemarle Foundation, Columbia County Community Foundation and CSNS Fashion & Men’s Wear.
