2017 Arkansas Gives Day set

LITTLE ROCK – The Arkansas Community Foundation announced Aug. 23 the third and final ArkansasGives online giving day will be April 6, 2017.

Non-profits statewide may sign up to participate at arkansasgives.org from Oct. 1, 2016 through Feb. 14, 2017. In two years, more than $6 million has been raised by more than 600 Arkansas non-profits through the ArkansasGives event.

Charter media sponsor the Arkansas Press Association hosted the announcement conference.

ArkansasGives goals are to get people excited about giving to non-profits at a time other than the traditional year end and reach out to new givers; to expand marketing and fundraising capabilities for Arkansas non-profits so that they can take advantage of social media and online giving to achieve their missions; and to increase awareness of the impact of non-profits statewide.

ACF offers tools to help Arkansans protect, grow and direct their charitable dollars as they learn more about community needs. By making grants and sharing knowledge, the ACF supports charitable programs that work for Arkansas and partners to create new initiatives that address the gaps.

Since 1976, the ACF has provided more than $140 million in grants and partnered with thousands of Arkansans to help them improve their neighborhoods, their towns, and the entire state. Contributions to the ACF, its funds, and any of its 27 affiliates are fully tax deductible.e will be using.
