CCS Lady Crusaders compete in preseason volleyball tourney

CENTERTON — The Columbia Christian School Lady Crusaders captured the preseason volleyball tournament at Centerton Thursday and Friday.

On Thursday in pool play, CCS lost 14-25, 21-25 to Life Way Christian School and 21-25, 16-25 to Christian Ministries Academy.

Against Ridgway Christian, the Lady Crusaders won 24-14, 25-10 and defeated Garrett Memorial 25-13, 25-17.

In its fifth match of the event, CCS knocked off Community Christian School 25-10, 25-10.

Bracket play started Friday with CCS defeating Cornerstone Christian 25-14, 25-10, 25-7. The Lady Crusaders downed Garrett Memorial in the silver championship by scores of 25-12, 25-19, 25-13.

The Lady Crusaders will play at home today, beginning at 5 p.m., against Garrett Memorial.
